BRAUN KENDRICK PARTNER RECEIVES NATIONAL RECOGNITION

Bill Ewald, a partner at Braun Kendrick, has been selected among America’s Top 100 Civil Defense Litigators for Michigan in 2018. Based on his years of exceptional advocacy, litigation success, ethical standards, and extraordinary accomplishments in defending significant civil litigation matters, Mr. Ewald joins the ranks of Michigan’s most esteemed Civil Defense Litigators.

This honor is limited to only 100 attorneys in Michigan. With extremely high standards for membership, less than one-half percent (0.5%) of litigators in the United States will ever receive this award making it the premier litigation achievement for civil defense trial lawyers throughout the nation and is by invitation only.

Bill has 45 years of trial experience in the practice of law, several years of government service as a former assistant prosecuting attorney assigned to the homicide and controlled substance prosecutions, and as assistant United States attorney in the organized crime and white collar crime sections of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Western District of Michigan. He was the lead prosecutor in the only case to come out of the Jimmy Hoffa disappearance, a seven-week trial involving thirty-five witnesses and voluminous documentary exhibits. Bill was also the lead government prosecutor in the controlled substances case involving comedian Tim Allen. He has represented clients throughout the state of Michigan and 19 state of the United States.

Bill is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel [FDCC] (limited to 1,100 trial lawyers worldwide). In past years he was a frequent panelist of the Property Loss Research Bureau and lectured in the insurance industry. He has published articles and lectured throughout the country on a variety of topics. For four (4) consecutive years, Bill was also named one of Michigan's top lawyers by the Michigan Super Lawyers Magazine.

Bill is committed to the community serving on the boards of the Field Neurosciences Institute as well as the Saginaw Arts & Enrichment Commission.
