Lindsay Stevens Eggers Named President and COO

Lindsay Stevens Eggers Named President and COO

(SAGINAW, Mich.) Stevens Group, Inc. Board of Directors recently named fifth generation family member, Lindsay Stevens Eggers as President and Chief Operating Officer of Stevens Group. In her role as President and COO, Stevens Eggers will have the responsibility for all of the Company’s operating units including Stevens Worldwide Van Lines and Stevens International. She will report to Morrison (Morrie) Stevens, Sr., Chairman of the Board and CEO.

“The Board unanimously agrees that Lindsay Stevens Eggers’ leadership experience coupled with her strategic thinking and proven ability to deliver results make her the right person to help execute Stevens’ strategic priorities and drive sustainable growth,” commented Morrie Stevens, Sr.

Stevens Eggers has more than a decade of experience and knowledge in understanding business function and best practices. A moving and storage family veteran, Lindsay joined the family business in 2004 as Business Process Analyst and was promoted to Vice President of Finance in 2009. She has a proven ability to identify and accelerate turnarounds and insight to ignite growth inside the organization.

“Lindsay has built an impressive track record of strategic, operational and commercial accomplishments,” said Morrie Stevens, Sr. “She has proven to be a successful leader and brings to the position of President and COO a strong reputation for process improvement and developing teams. Her experience and knowledge will be an asset as we continue to grow Stevens and our agents.”

Joe Biskner, President and COO since 2007, will continue his service as Executive Vice President of Stevens, as well as member of the Board of Directors. Joe will continue to represent Stevens on the American Moving and Storage (AMSA) Board of Directors. In addition to overseeing Information Technology, Military and International divisions, Biskner will work closely with Stevens Eggers and mentor her as the incoming President and COO.

Reporting to Stevens Eggers will be the Leadership Team of Stevens, including Joe Biskner, Executive Vice President, Jan Price, Vice President of Human Relations, Morrie Stevens, Jr., Vice President of Commercial Agency Division, Roger Wise, Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Nicole Fox, Controller.

About Lindsay Stevens Eggers:

A daughter of Morrie, Sr. and Julie Stevens, Lindsay has been involved in the moving and storage industry throughout her life. Previous to her career at Stevens, Lindsay was a Business Process Analyst at Accenture Consulting, specializing in PeopleSoft Financial Software Implementations. She holds a Master’s of Business Administration Degree from Ross School of Business and Bachelor of Science Business Administration Degree (graduating Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Colorado.

Prior to being appointed President, she has served as Secretary for the Stevens Group, Inc. Board of Directors; she is a Saginaw Advisory Board member for Chemical Bank, a Board member of the Michigan State Chamber of Commerce, a Board Member for the READ Association of Saginaw, member of the Bay Area Community Foundation Women’s Philanthropy Circle, serves as the Treasurer for Linwood Beach Association and volunteers as a Sunday School teacher for First Presbyterian Church of Saginaw. Lindsay was previously the Junior and Senior High School Youth Group Director at First Presbyterian Church, served as a Board and Finance Committee Member for the YMCA, was Chairman of the Next Generation Affinity Group for the Stevens Center for Family Business and was Chairman of the READ Association of Saginaw.

Lindsay resides in Linwood, Michigan and stays active with her husband Brian Eggers, their daughter, Audrey (age 7), and son, Garrett (age 5). In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, cycling, skiing in the winter and spending time at their second home in Bellaire, Michigan.
