Temple Theatre is Bringing the ‘Nitty Gritty’ Back to Saginaw

Saginaw, Michigan – The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band comes to Temple Theatre on Saturday, November 5th to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. The multi-platinum recording artists are just the latest in a long line of talent to come to Temple Theatre.

Celebrating their Golden (50th) Anniversary together, the iconic and profoundly influential Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, often cited as a catalyst for an entire movement in Country Rock and American Roots Music, continues to add to their legendary status. Showtime is 7:30pm on Saturday, November 5th.

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s groundbreaking “Will The Circle Be Unbroken” album has been inducted into the U.S. Library of Congress as well as the Grammy Hall of Fame. NGDB’s recording of “Mr. Bojangles” was also inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2010. In 2014 “Fishin’ In the Dark” was certified platinum for digital downloads by the RIAA.

“We are excited to have such a talented and acclaimed group like Nitty Gritty Dirt Band” said Stacey Gannon, Executive Director of the Temple Theatre Foundation. “We are honored that Nitty Gritty chose to celebrate their Golden Anniversary with us. I think it’s a testament to how great a city like Saginaw is, being able to host talent like this. It’s an honor.” She added. Reserved tickets are available from $35 to $95.
