Rehmann nets fourth consecutive win as best public accounting firm for women

Troy, MI (June 13, 2016) — For the fourth consecutive year, Rehmann has been named to the Accounting MOVE Project’s Top 10 Best CPA Firms for Women List, which recognizes firms with high proportions of women partners and principals.

The winning firms had to demonstrate three key characteristics: consistent, measurable progress in advancing women to leadership positions; proven and evolving programs that retain and advance women; and clear and compelling integration of the business case for advancing women.

“We take great pride in being included on this list,” said Rehmann CEO Randy Rupp. “At Rehmann, we recognize the importance and value of implementing leadership development programs that assist women in expanding their networks and growing their careers. Our Women’s Initiative Network offers tracks that help growth trajectory via a variety of business skills and self-evaluation.”

Amy Flourry, chair of Rehmann’s Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) council, said, “I am very proud to be a part of a company like Rehmann. Being in the Top 10 of this national list is not a small feat. It takes deliberate effort and support from management to succeed. It is a testament that if given the support and necessary tools, women can have a very rewarding accounting career and contribute to the practice.”

The 2016 Accounting MOVE Project reports a significant boost in the proportion of women partners and principals at the 49 CPA firms participating in the project nationwide — an average of 23 percent, up from 17 percent in 2012.

The Accounting MOVE Project, released by the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance and the American Women’s Society of Certified Public Accountants, is an annual survey of leading financial and accounting firms to determine the state of women in the industry. Developed by research partner Wilson-Taylor Associates, Inc., The Accounting MOVE Project is based on the MOVE methodology: M – Money, O – Opportunity, V – Vital supports, and E – Entrepreneurship.
