Helen M. Nickless Volunteer Clinic Now Accepts Patients from All Michigan Counties

Bay City, MI -- The Helen M. Nickless Volunteer Clinic is a free medical clinic, located at 1460 W. Center Rd. (M-25) at Pine, Suite #1, Medical Mall #1, Essexville, MI. The Volunteer Clinic is now accepting patients from any county in Michigan, who qualify accordingly:

• People who do not have and do not qualify for health insurance.
• Those who cannot afford medical care with income less than 250% of the Federal Poverty Guideline.

The Helen M. Nickless offers the following services: Free primary medical care, including lab and X-ray, to patients of all ages. The Clinic also provides medication prescribed through the Clinic. This free Walk-in Clinic is open every Wednesday evening, and sign-in is required between 4:00 to 6:30 p.m.

The Helen M. Nickless Volunteer Clinic was founded in 2004 as an access point for meeting the primary health care needs of the economically disadvantaged residents in the Bay area by providing free medical care. From March 2004 to October 2015, over 8,000 individuals have sought care at the Volunteer Clinic, resulting in 24,835 visits. Volunteers are drawn from a pool of over 300 individuals.
