McLaren Bay Region Sponsors “Boot Camp for New Dads”

McLaren Bay Region will offer “Boot Camp for New Dads” on Thursday, July 30 from 6:00 –

9:00 p.m. at the Health Pavilion, Childbirth Education Classroom, 3175 W. Professional Drive, Bay City.

“Boot Camp for New Dads” is a community education program for first time fathers. Taught by fathers, Boot Camp enables new dads to step up to the tremendous challenge of being a dad and feel confident bringing the new baby home. The 3-hour class will cover not only baby care and fatherhood, but also the needs of new mothers. Discussions center on topics such as forming a new family, the changing role of fathers, helping mom with breastfeeding, as well as hands-on opportunities for prospective dads to practice baby care skills under the guidance of veteran dads who bring their new babies to class. There will also be an interactive session featuring the best advice veteran dads can offer the rookies.

There is no class fee required due to financial support from McLaren Bay Medical Foundation. To register or for more information, call toll free 1-877-411-2762 anytime.
