McLaren Bay Region’s Baby Expo Scheduled for April 25

McLaren Bay Region is hosting a Baby Expo on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Bay-Arenac ISD Career Center, 4155 Monitor Road in Bay City. The cost is $1 per person and is payable at the door.

This event is for anyone who loves babies, especially those expecting or with a new baby, as well as their support persons, family and friends. The event will include numerous exhibitors with items available for purchase or resource information for parents and their support system; prize drawings; as well as seminars on topics such as:

*Baby Signing
*Daddy Boot Camp
*Handling Stress, Mood Changes and Unsolicited Advice
*“Fit Mama” demonstration by Dow Bay Area Family Y
*Holistic & Alternative Therapies for Family Health
*Infant Safety presented by Inez Balinska, MD

The Bay County Health Department will be on site to provide Tdap vaccines (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis/Whooping Cough). Bring your health insurance cards and a photo ID. There is a sliding fee scale for those without insurance. For more information on the vaccine clinic, call 989-895-4009, option #2.

There will be a DIY (Do It Yourself) Zone with information on how to make items that may be helpful for your baby and household as well as infant car seat safety demonstrations. A Mom-to-Mom Sale will be held during the Baby Expo, sponsored by Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) of Bay Valley Lutheran Church.

This event is made possible through the collaboration of McLaren Bay Region, Bay-Arenac ISD, Bay-Arenac Great Start Collaborative/Parent Network, Bay County Health Department, MSU Extension, and NEMCSA Head Start & Early Head Start.
