Midland’s Scott Withrow receives Saginaw Bay Underwriters’ Hanisko Award for second time

Saginaw, Michigan – February 2, 2015 – Local insurance agency Saginaw Bay Underwriters recently presented its Louis E. Hanisko Service Award to Scott Withrow, making him the first two-time winner of the honor. He previously received it in 2006.

“It’s such a privilege to be recognized,” said Withrow, who is a vice president and business insurance advisor at the company’s Midland location. “And I’m humbled to be recognized in this way twice.”

SBU gives the Hanisko Award annually to an associate who has “enhanced the reputation of SBU” through community involvement. It has been given for the past 17 years and is named after a past CEO who was an active community member.

“Scott is a great example of how to pursue excellence for our clients and the community,” said SBU President & CEO Peter N. Ewend. “He’s so involved in Midland, we were happy to award him a second time.”

Withrow is an active member of the Midland Area Chamber of Commerce, helping to host the organization’s WakeUp! Midland events. He’s also involved with Junior Achievement, the Midland Rotary Foundation and serves as an elder at his church, among other volunteer activities.
