Yeo & Yeo Recognized Among Michigan’s Best and Brightest in Wellness

Saginaw, MI: Yeo & Yeo CPAs & Business Consultants has been named one of Michigan’s Best and Brightest in Wellness. This is an initiative that recognizes and celebrates quality and excellence in worksite health. The program highlights companies that promote a culture of wellness, and those that plan, implement, and evaluate efforts in employee wellness.

“We are honored to be recognized as one of Michigan’s Best and Brightest in Wellness because we were compared to many prominent companies throughout not only Metropolitan Detroit, but the entire state,” said Kymberly Hess, director of human resources of Yeo & Yeo. “Our employees enjoy a work environment that is focused on wellness – the firm communicates on wellness topics, tips and best practices. The goal is to help employees be empowered to make real changes in their health and lifestyle behaviors. Nominees were evaluated by using the WellCompanies assessment administered by Wellco, the nation's leading wellness systems firm. Criteria for selection included policies, environment, leadership, awareness and motivation, incentives, measurement, and health care cost, among others.

Yeo & Yeo and 62 other companies were honored at a symposium and awards gala on October 2 at The Henry in Dearborn. The program was co-presented by the Michigan Business and Professional Association, Michigan Food and Beverage Association, Wellco, and Corp! magazine. Winners are featured in the September/October Corp! magazine and Corp! online.
