Government Contracting for Women Owned Businesses

UNIVERSITY CENTER, MI
– This event will explore the SBA’s Women Owned Small Business (WOSB) and Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) programs. These Small Business Administration programs authorize contracting officers to set aside certain federal contracts for eligible women owned small businesses or economically disadvantaged women owned small businesses. Additionally, participants will look at the merits of self-certification versus third-party certification.

The workshop is September 9, 2014 from 10am – 12pm at Delta College and there is no cost to attend. Pre-registration is required online at www.SBDCMichigan.org
or by calling (989) 686-9597. Any women owned small business considering or already participating in government contracting work is welcomed to attend.

This event is made possible by the Procurement Technical Assistance Center at Saginaw Future Inc. and co-sponsored by Michigan Small Business Development Center Great Lakes Bay Region (serving Arenac, Bay, Midland and Saginaw counties).
