Event Description: As the summer comes to an end, please join us for the closing reception for our Great Lakes Bay En Plein Air Festival exhibition. En Plein Air is a French expression meaning “in the open air," used to describe painting outdoors, which involves all of the senses. Artists create a painting expressing the mood of a scene which often includes not only the sights, but also the sounds, temperature, atmosphere and changing light. Artists who participated in the festival painted on location had their work exhibited during the summer at the Saginaw Art Museum or a participating venue. This event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be provided.
