Event Description: The week-long festival in June includes kid's activities, after hours events, film screenings, art fairs, speakers, workshops and quick paints across the region. En Plein Air is a French expression meaning “in the open air," used to describe painting outdoors, which involves all of the senses. Artists create a painting expressing the mood of a scene which often includes not only the sights, but also the sounds, temperature, atmosphere and changing light. Artists participating in the festival paint on location and have their work exhibited during the summer at the Saginaw Art Museum or a participating venue. Saginaw Art Museum
