Event Description: Join us in the Wildlife Viewing Area as we count birds at CNC feeders for the Great Backyard Bird Count, an annual citizen science project. Organized by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, people are encouraged to count all the birds they can identify in their yard or natural area this weekend. Your data provides information on the variety of species living in the region in the winter. Interpretive Naturalist Jeanne Henderson will teach you how to identify common species, how to count and record the necessary information and where to send your data.
