Saginaw Art Museum Announces Free Admission for Month of December

Saginaw, Michigan – Today the Saginaw Art Museum announced that there will be no admission fees for the month of December, in order to boost foot traffic and exposure to the newest exhibitions entitled “Medieval to Metal: the Art and Evolution of the GUITAR” and “Treasures of Travel: A Provenance of Late Renaissance and Early Baroque Artwork from the Permanent Collection.” The Saginaw Art Museum will not charge an entrance fee, but encourages a donation to the museum.

Recently, the Saginaw Art Museum joined Museums for All, a program that enables low-income families to visit the Saginaw Art Museum for FREE with the presentation of an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card. Families can also visit any participating museum year-round for a minimal fee. Museums for All is part of the Saginaw Art Museum’s broad commitment to seek, include, and welcome all.

In addition to joining Museums for All¸ the Saginaw Art Museum recently participated in #GivingTuesday, which took place on November 28, 2017. #GivingTuesday is an initiative to encourage donations to local not-for-profit organizations, which includes the Saginaw Art Museum. By giving the gift of a donation, patrons are allowing the museum to host more educational programming, and in turn, allows them to present special promotions like free admission in December.

The Saginaw Art Museum is open Tuesday-Saturday, 12pm-5pm, and additional hours for events and programming. Visit www.saginawartmuseum.org for additional hours. For more information please call 989-754-2491.
